VALLEY AUTISM SUPPORT TEAM, OR VAST, IS A NEURO-AFFIRMING COLLECTIVE OF HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS BASED IN CENTRAL WASHINGTON.

WHO WE ARE.

VAST was founded in January 2024 by a multidisciplinary team of neuro-affirming professionals, including clinicians, educators, and advocates, united by a shared commitment to supporting the autistic and neurodiverse community in Central Washington.

Recognizing the significant gaps in access to timely Autism evaluations and culturally responsive care, the group came together to create a more inclusive and accessible path to diagnosis and support. Through community education, inclusive services, and a commitment to justice, we work to build a world where every mind is valued and supported.

OUR MISSION.

OUR VISION.

Our mission is to expand understanding of autism and improve access to diagnosis, support, and advocacy for neurodivergent individuals in Central Washington. We believe that embracing neurodiversity promotes self-awareness, strengthens families, and drives meaningful social change in our communities..

We envision a world where autistic individuals and their families are fully supported, empowered, and included—where access to services is seamless, communities are understanding, and every person can thrive with dignity and confidence.

The team is currently working toward becoming part of Washington’s SMART (School Medical Autism Review Team) program to further expand access to coordinated, community-based Autism evaluations and services.

We envision a world where neurodivergent individuals are not only accepted, but celebrated—where support is humanizing, communities are inclusive by design, and everyone has the tools to thrive on their own terms.

This isn’t just our mission. It’s our movement.

And we’re just getting started.
